Well, far from it, my friends. You see, I'm the alpha dog. It's my responsibility to guard the den and all its inhabitants. At times, that might just mean getting the other dogs to do things they might not want to do , and even if they do, they might not be doing them as fast as they should. There's other times when I start barking at them to move their fat asses and they just don't listen. So, a little prodding may then be in order.
Take the time when Lily jumped on my back and bit me. I was having a meaningful discussion with Lyric, the alphs wanna-be. I was explaining that I heard something outside and that the dogs should get behind me so I counld protect them. Lyric took issue with this and started barking back at me, saying it was nothing to get upset about.
I think that dog is getting down-right senile! The sound I heard was another animal, or at least I think that's what I heard. I barked & told 'em to get moving and the sable & white imitation of a Shetland Sheepdog took issue with me over it. Talk about stupidity! So, I get in her face and tell her to move it, & while I'm not looking Lily jumps on my back & bites me not only on the ear, but right through it, none the less!
Ouch! That hurts even when I only think about it.

Anyway, I'm the boss. And, I take great pains in training the huge Collie, Douglas, on the way things are to be done around the house and in the yard. He's a great big oaf and needs my help, possibly even more than the other two dogs. Big as he is I just show him my teeth and he obeys.
He better!
