Years ago, around 1930 or so, there was a movie called Gunda Din. The flick starred Cary Grant, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Walter McLaughlin & Sam Jaffy as Din. It concerned itself with:
the British occupation of India an evil war lord who wanted to ambush troops, and Gunga Din, a young lad who served water to the Brits who eventually saved the troops
Then there's Dougie, our black & tan Collie. Allusions to him being our very own water boy concern themselves with the fact that when he's done taking a drink from his water bowl, he slobbers all over the place so profusely that one would think he was a purvevor of aquifiers.
