Look around this web site. Can you tell I love dogs...all things dogs? My interests include movies such as "Lassie," "Air Bud," "Big Red" etc. as these flicks have stood the test of time & captured our collective fancies. (BTW, does anyone out there know how or where I can get my hand on a copy of the Disney film "The Little Shetland Sheepdog of Catalina Island?") Up until a night or two ago, I couldn't think of too many silver screen efforts that I didn't like. That was until the show "Karate Dog" aired on T.V.
Although I didn't actually watch the show itself, the coming attractions featured a dog having a go-around with John Voigt (winner of an academy award, no less!). Sure, the flick might have had some merit, it might even have espoused some socially redeeming platitudes...but I bet not.
Are there really no jobs out there for John Voigt, or is he merely diversifying himself so that his talent can now be viewed by a much wider audience? Keep in mind this so called "wider-ranging audience" might include arm dragging troglodytes who are perceptually challenged with mere room-temperature IQs.
