Well, it's a holiday weekend (Memorial Day), the weather outside is absolutely gorgeous, and we've just return from...you might have guessed it, based on the name of this humble web site, another dog show.
But, that's what we do. Some folks like to go to a major metropolitan center, perhaps even NYC, spend the day there, maybe take in a Broadway show. Others might prefer goin' to a ball game, possibly to see the Mets (yay!) or the Yankess (boo!) take on an opposing team, enjoy a hot dog or two, and hopefully get their hands on a foul ball. As my initial statement of this paragraph attests, We prefer to spend our time at dog shows.
And why, you may ask, do we go to what others might construe as a boring event, watching a bunch of dogs romp around & strutting their stuff? The French (we have absolutley no affinity toward that country, believe me, especially on this Memorial Day weekend) have a saying-raison d'etre, translated as "reason for being." And that's why we go to dog shows...they're our reason for being.
Can you relate? Then...
...you'll most probably agree this is a wonderful way to spend a day.
Happy dogs prancing around, struttin' their stuff, friendly dog people who are present because they love their companions, vendors who offer just about anything you could possibly imagine for your dog-from food to vitamins and occasional new-bies who are there to learn from us what this is all about.
Certainly, there are many way to have fun...but I woudn't trade my way of having fun with ay other.
