A couple of weks ago, there was a local community day here in the rural area where we live. Townspeople and vendors that own businesses in the area had the opportunity to mingle together and hopefully drum up some business together. We complied and arranged for a local photographer to snap some professional pictures of li'l Maggie, our Shetland Sheepdog showdog. You can click here to be whisked on over to the photographer's web site. Click on the down arrow under the "Find Your Gallery" area and then select National Dog Day, then click on National Dog Day. Our sable 'n white Sheltie named Maggie will appear on the screen. Click on the "Enter Album Here" area to see more pictures of her. Today, we'll be doin' something similar. There's a small community park near by where some vendors gather on Sunday morings to sell vegetables and other items. We've been going down there for the past few weekends, usually taking our tri-color Collie named Dougie: Dougie ...and the aforementioned Maggie: Maggie ...along with us, generally to socialize. We also realize that we need to get Dougie used to traveling in the car (van) once again, since he's been known to get sick when we need to go on along trip with him. The total travel time to get to the park where the activities take place is about seven (7) minutes or so. So far, this hasn't been long enough for his stomach to get upset to the extent that we'll pay the price of a clean-up routine for the van. As a change of venue, we're thinking about taking Lily along with us this morning, too. She's been known to get car sick also, so the trip'll be good for her. Here's a picture of Lily, the sweet one: Lily If I remember, I'll take our camera along with us so I can share our adventures with you later on today. Why not stop by and see if I post the shots I'm hoping to take?
