Including Friday, 5/30/008, our Shetland Sheepdog named Maggie was entered in three separate dog show. All were held at Wrightstown, PA in a beautiful park. Our li'l dog took first in her class all three days but didn't progress any further in the standings than that. In other words, when she went up against other dogs that had won their respective classes, Maggie was not signaled out as a winner. But she's gaining valuable experience. So we tell ourselves as another dog takes to the limelight!

Dinah stops for the judge just after she finished walking around the ring: Dinah DJ, a close relative of our own li'l Maggie, fared quite well, thank you. He took best in his class and looked very happy with the results of his endeavor: DJ-Winner Keira is placed on the table where the judge performs an inspection to make sure she's true to the standards of her breed. (Don't worry, she's absolutely perfect as a Sheltie).

During Saturday's show, the heavens opened up around 12:00 noon. Rain, rain everywhere and we were more than happy that we had set up our grooming equipment, materials and chairs under the tent supplied by the club sponsors. Here's a picture showing a small rivlet of rainwater cascading off the tent: Rain: 5/31/08
We were lucky in that the rain only lasted for an hour. During the time it came dow, the judges took their break for lunch. By the time we were ready to go back into the ring at 1:00 p.m., the rains had ended! Here two happy Sheltie owners celebrate the end of the rain. If you look real, real closely you can see rain pouring off along the entire top yellow fringe of the tent: Sheltie Friends
Now I understand we've entered li'l Maggie in another show (match?) this coming weekend. And, I believe I owe visitors to PrestoDog.com some pictures of the rest of the Presto Dog pack. Stop back in a day or two...I'll see what I can do!
