This weekend, it's off to Wrightstown, PA to try our luck at the Burlington County Kennel Club Dog Show. Maggie, our li'l Shetland Sheepdog, will be getting groomed and then we'll sit her down and have a canine-to-human inspirational talk with her. It'll be along the lines of:
- don't let the tough competition scare you
- keep your head up and
- you can do it, gal
And, in the final analysis, it won't make an iota of dfference no matter what we do 'cause the decision as to what dog is selected as best in class, best in breed, etc. is entirely up to the judges. We take the appropriate steps to make certain the dog's as presentable as possible but are ultimately subject to the whim & fancy of a person who determines the specific criteria that constitutes the winner.
But, as they say, that's show biz.
