Went to Freehold again today (5/25/08) as gas prices hit $3.75/gallon. When's it gonna end? I remember filling up my car when it was .28 cents/gallon! Sorry...I digress...let me get back to the dogs.

Maggie, our li'l Shetland Sheepdog show dog, took first in her class but that's about it for this today. Well, except for the fact that I took this really great picture of two of my favorite gals:

We all have a great time when we venture out together, and really enjoy the dog show circuit. That lady you see works real hard, prepping li'l Maggie so she's absolutely purrfect perfect when she enters the show ring. Now, if only our little sable and white beauty could somehow convince those darn judges that she's worthy of those elusive points a dog is awarded when it gets that best of breed designation!

Oh well, as we say in the dog show world, there's always next weekend!

Before I sign off, here's a shot of Maggie in the portable chair I bring to our shows. For some reason, she sometimes finds it more comfortable in the humans' furniture. Now, you don't let your dog on your chairs at home, do you?


And, Keira preparing for her turn in the ring. She's always so attentive and has gotten more beautiful over the months I've been priviledged to associate with her. Champion quality? You bet!
