We went to East Freehold Park in Freehold (!), NJ yesterday. This beautiful area is hosting four separate dog shows this weekend. Our Li'l Maggie is entered in two of 'em. It's about 85 miles or so from the Presto Dog den and since we haven't procured a trailer or some kind of a motor home yet, we're forced to travel back & forth to multi-day shows such as this one.
But, back to the real subject at hand...dogs! Maggie took second place in her class yesterday. Nothing earth-shaking, but at least it offered some experience for her & the Presto Dog bride, the person in charge of all aspects of our dog show life. Here's Maggie wishing her grooming was finished: Wishful Maggie
Dinah did not make an appearance in the ring this day but rather luxuriated in her pen, watching the day 's event pass her by:

DJ struts in the ring, smiling away for all the world to see: DJ Having Fun Maggie on the judge's table. Notice the judge is stroking her pretty tail, while the pretty Prtesto Dog bride holds her steady: Maggie on Table Keira gets brushed one last time in preparation for her turn in the show ring: Keira Gets Brushed Here's a picture of three Shetland Sheepdogs from the same kennel. From left to right it's Maggie, Cameron & DJ, all from the Bernbrite clan: 3 Bernbrites Finally, a picture that portrays the symbol of the finest form of government ever seen on the face of the earth. Many have served and some have offered the ultimate gift for the country this simple red, white and blue fabric represents. Unfurling in the wind, this flag has withstood wars, protests, desecration and mockery. It's still flying. Old Glory
