The post I wrote yesterday noted we were taking Maggie, our seven month old Sheltie, to her very first dog show.
Proudly, we ask you to feast your eyes on the very first ribbon our pup ever won:
Note it's not only her first ribbon won in competition, it's also a FIRST PLACE ribbon!
Are we proud? Well, whadda ya think?
Here's a shot of our little Magpie just before the Presto Dog bride began preparing her for her ring appearance:

Another picture? Well, O.K.! Right below is a picture of Maggie (the Sheltie), the judge who eventually awarded her the first place prize, and the proud owner of Maggie, my dear Presto Dog bride:

Maggie with the Judge
Before the judge made his decision that Maggie was the winner of her group, he needed to perform the necessary inspection of her teeth, hair, and other physical attributes to be certain she was true to her breed. Here's a picture of Maggie on the judge's table, going through her inspection:

Finally, a picture of the beautiful area where the dog show was held-the Kempton Faigrounds, Kempton, PA:

I had walked down a slight hill, turned around and thought the pastoral scene captured above would look great on the Presto Dog web site. Besides, it was where our little Maggie earned her first taste of success in the ring!
