In a prior post here on the Presto Dog web site, I mentioned that Dougie, our two year old tri-color Collie, has a definate affinity toward our new Sheltie puppy named Maggie. They're constantly playing together, and one of their favorite games is "tug."

For those of you who may not be familiar with this game, a toy is obtained from the tremendous pile of playthings we keep around for the pack. One dog takes one side of the toy and offers it to the other dog. In this particular instance, Dougie offered the toy to Maggie. The other dog accepts the toy, taking the opposite side and both then start, well, "tugging," pulling this way and that in a friendly attempt the free the toy from the other dog.

BTW, this is always a friendly game, Dougie is a real gentle giant when he plays with the puppy; they're great pals!
