About five years ago, we took a trip to our Sheltie breeder's home. We went there because we were going to adopt Lyric, our now eight year-old senior dog. As I recall, it was a sweltering hot day and Lyric was quite comfortable laying on top of an air conditioning register. She didn't care that she was "hogging" the cool air; she was simply keeping herself cool. We brought Lyric home and she's been a wonderful addition to our family, and was an alpha dog to the pack until Declan, her son, was brought into the fold.
A month or so ago, we brought Maggie into our pack; she, too, has been a wonderful dog, adding all the fun and work a new puppy brings to its new home. And amazingly, she also loves to sleep on A/C registers, just like her grandmother (Lyric) likes to do.
Here's Maggie resting on an A/C register in our den: A/C Maggie
