New Sheltie Puppy's One of the Pack |

Our four-month old Sheltie puppy named Maggie has acclimatized very well to her new den. She's running, jumping and following the other dogs (Lyric, Lily and Declan, all Shelties and Dougie, a Collie) around the house as if she's always been a part of the pack.
Without a doubt, though, her favorite play-pal is Dougie, our two-year old tri-color Collie. This guy has the perfect temperment for the antics of the puppy: the little one's always trying to jump up and nibble on Dougie's fur, pulling his hair or running around & teasing him with toys. Good ol' Dougie takes it all in stride, letting her do whatever she wants to him and never getting mad or angry. He's a kind soul, and sometimes we have to intercede and pull Maggie off him 'cause she makes him whimper. I guess she probably pulled too hard on his hair or nipped him too hard. In fact, we happened to notice poor Dougie has a little scratch on his snout, undoubtedly from Maggie!
BTW, I've nick-named her "The Little Magpie."
Next topic I'll be discussing about the little Magpie is the fact that we still don't have an official, AKC call name for her!
