Well, it's been about two weeks or so but Dougie's ill yet again!

It seems every few days this Collie's stomach is upset for some reason or another. So, instead of his regular dog-food routine this morning, he was fed a combination of chopped meat and rice, a meal  that was recommneded to us by our vet for a dog with an upset stomach. He also had a dose of Pepto Bismal to settle his belly (also prescibed by the vet).

We think the cause of the problem is the fact that when we let him outside, he runs around the house like a deer, and when he's out of sight he may be munching on twigs, branches or who knows what. When the roughage makes its way through his digestive system, he pays the price. Or, rather, we pay the price with presents from both ends of his body, if you know what I mean. And, this is also embelished with the fact that he needs to be taken out at 2:30 a.m., and then again at around 4:00 a.m.!

Such is the life of our very own Scooby-Doo dog, as we're starting to call Dougie:

But, he's a real good dog, always tryin' to climb up into our laps, not realizing he's practically as big as a house.
