The weatherman here on the East Coast of the US is starting to hint that there may be some kind of snow accumulation for Monday-Tuesday, 2/12-2/13/07. That'll be an odd occurrence in that I don't beleive we've had any appreciable snow accumulation to date for this year yet.
If it does happen, it'll be time for us to go out to the yard & dig what I refer to as habit-trails for our three Shelties: Lyric, Lily and Declan. These smaller dogs have a little trouble maneuvering around in deeper snows. We have one dog that has no such problem...that's Dougie. This guy is a full-sized Collie who romps through the snow drifts as if he was an SUV. If there was a way to put a plow on him I'm certain we could make a few bucks for his endeavors! ( BTW, if the snow gets too deep, we'll haul out our special Presto Dog snow removal equipment like this to get the job done.)
If there is a snow event, we'll contact the semi-world famous Presto Dog photographer to stop by and snap some new pictures of our pack playing in the white stuff.
Here's a couple of shots of the pack in a snow storm we experienced last year:
From left to right: Lily, Lyric & Declan; then there's Dougie the snow plow boy all by himself. He stands alone 'cause we can never get him to remain still long enough to get a group picture with all the dogs together!
