As mentioned a couple of posts ago, the Presto Dog pack (Lyric, Lily, Declan & Dougie) received baths the other day. And the very next day they also received their "brush outs," which resulted in a plastic bag full of excess hair that would have otherwise fallen all over our house/den and clothing, mostly on the latter!

Perhaps it's because of the cold weather & our furnace that's been workin' overtime during the cold spell that's overtaken the East Coast, or maybe it's due to the bath he received. Anyway, Declan (a.k.a. "Deckie")...


...has had successive "bad hair days" for the past few days. When I get home in the evening, Deckie comes to the door to greet me. But instead of the neatly coiffured, picturesque little Sheltie that usually presents himself, this strange looking sable & white creature appears instead, all disheveled and unkempt, hair sticking out all over the place.

It's as if he received a good dose of hair spray after he had his bath which, in turn, has caused his appearance to be quite unordinary. Let's attribute it to the weather and hope that when things warm up a bit, the proper humidity will return to our den and he'll morph back into the cute little Sheltie we're used to seeing around the house.
