When I was a mere young lad, I actually visited the monks at New Skeet in Cambridge, NY. At the time, I don't recall them having the "dog raising" venue under their belts. But over the years they've become pretty well acknowledged as knowledgeable in the field of raising dogs.

Puppies for Dummies is yet another in the famous "dummies" book series. However, don't let the dummies title throw you off. This series is pretty comprehensive, and this one covers the important points of raising a puppy.
