Readers who frequent our pages probably know that our Shetland Sheepdogs love to play ball out in our yard. This competition consists of one of us bi-peds kicking the ball and our four-legged friends trying to retrieve it. This activity is accompanied, , of course, by a prodigious amount of barking, yapping and overall happiness.

This morning, we took a brief break from some of the work we've been doing aound our house/den. (The reason for these endeavors is topic for another day.) Here's a shot of Declan on the left watching his "Superman" ball, the object he adores chasing when we're out in the yard. By the way, that's one of our other Shelties, Lily, on the right side:
