On Sunday, 12/03/06, we were out in the yard. I took a break from hanging up Christmas lights, assembling Santa's sled & positioning other holiday decorations to play with the dogs. As I've mentioned before, one of the favorite activities is for me to kick a ball & the pack runs after it. Sometimes they bring it back, sometimes not.

In the picture below, Lily's on the left taking issue with the fact that Deckie, our alpha dog, is guarding the ball of choice for the moment. Check out Lily baring her teeth at her brother Sheltie. And, all this is going immediately next to Santa's white sled. I sure hope he wasn't watching such an evil-faced dog:

Shelties with an Attitude

Funny thing about this is that it's usually Deckie who's the one who takes issue with the other dogs. Lily's the calm complacent one. Or, at least she was the calm one! I'm just sorry the picture isn't a little clearer for your viewing pleasure.
