Lassie Movie - 2007/01/06 18:51
We watched the new "Lassie" movie this evening. It was about, who else, Lassie who was separated from her real owner & had to travel over all kinds of obstacles to return to her original pal.
Half way through the flick, I realized what was missing, why the movie just didn't feel right. It was because the dog was simply ewacting to orders, to perform the things in did on the screen just because it was told to do so. These was no love in its eyes, no feeling in what it was ding.
Now, that's certainly not a knock agin the dog. Rather, it can be construed that the dog did a wonderful job in obeying all its commands...impeccablty.
But, I've seen love in our dogs' eyes wen it looks at us. There's real feeling when I get that stare when I just get home from work, pick up one of the Shelties & put it on our bed as I'm getting changed.
Can you relate?
