The semi-world famous Presto Dog photographer caught Declan (a.k.a. Deckie) at attention yesterday when he stopped by to take pictures of our pack on Sunday, New Year's Eve.
Here's the picture of the little guy looking as if he's standing at attention in our front yard:

By the way, that's not a board or some strange appendage growing out of the side of his head; it's simply an extender for the down spout from the house's gutters.
Want to learn how to teach your pup some tricks? Here's a link that'll redirect you to a great book that uses positive reinforcement instead of yelling or admonishing your dog as you teach it new tricks:

Have a puppy and interested in a DVD that teachs you how to use a clicker training him or her? Here's a link to our vendor who'll ship it out to you A.S.A.P. if you purchase it...good luck!

To enter the rear door of our house (where the tradespeople are directed when they make deliveries or arrive to work on our mansion), you must walk up onto our deck which has a few steps.
This morning, Deckie, our alpha boy Shetland Sheepdog, was done doing his "business" outside. As always, I called him (as well as our other two Shelties and tri-color Collie) to go back into the house. The other three dogs came in quite quickly, but for some unknown reason Deckie decided to ruminate as to whether or not he wanted to join his fellow pack members.
Here's a picture of Deckie wondering if he should jump up the last two steps and on into our house:
 Deckie Contemplating Steps
Note that after contemplating his circumstance for no more than about three seconds, he jumped up the last two steps and ran on into the house where food and drink were waiting for him.
As a side note, here's what a friend of our family said about the living conditions at the Presto Dog den: "When I die and if I come back to life, I want to wind up as a dog in the Presto Dog household!" I guess they don't have such a bad life experience residing in our den, eh?

As always, we were out in the yard today, 12/31/06, and the three friends were all lined up. so, our semi-world famous Presto Dog photographer snapped a picture of the three companeros as they were preening for the camera.
Here, for your viewing pleasure, are Declan, Lily and Dougie:

Believe me, it's always tough to get the dogs to stand still for a picture, while next to near impossible for Dougie, the tri-color Collie, to remain stationary for more than even three seconds!
And, since I'm always writing about them, here's a link with calendars and Books About the Shetland Sheepdog .

Earlier today, we went outside and who was waiting for us? Why, that semi-world famous Presto Dog photographer. He proceeded to snap away, taking pictures of all our dogs.
Here are some of the shots he took of Dougie, our tri-color Collie:

I know I don't have to mention this to you, but stop back later, 'cause I'll be posting pictures of our three Shetland Sheepdogs over the course of the next couple of days. We're in the midst of yet another home project and can't devote all our time to this web site.
That said, we will get the pictures up for you to see...you can count on Presto Dog!
And, since we're on Dougie's breed, here's a link to tons of Books About Collies .
