Well, it's taken about seven to eight months but I can honestly say that our one-year old Collie named Douglas (a.k.a. "Dougie") has finally learned to respect the wishes of our alpha Sheltie, Declan.
Dougie used to be in desparate need of doggie manners when he first arrived at our home. Sure there was an ocassional brief glimmer of hope that he was learning but nothing of substance. Our other three dogs, all Shelties, respected each other in that if teeth were shown, a growl was made or some other form of adverse body language was elicited, the offending dog was quick to alter its behavior to keep peace in the household. Then, along came Dougie... |

eBay Ads-Agility Equipment |
|
A while ago, I was gonna set up pictures, ads, etc. of the agility equipment I make & sell on eBay, touted as "the world's on-line market place."
Well, I never got around to doing that. Sure, there are a couple of ads here and there, but nothing like what I initially wanted to do. But, if you're interested in purchasing agility equipment such as weave poles, jumps, and a combination set of weave poles and two jumps, then click HERE. You'll be taken to a screen where you can see the items we presently have up for auction at some real bargain prices, if I must say so myself. And, our feedback rating is 100%, meaning that everyone who has bought aglity equipment from us is satisfied. Click HERE to view coments left by our customers. If interested in making a purchase, simply go to http://www.ebay.com and follow the normal procedures for purchasing. And, if you contact us through eBay & mention you read this article, we'll give you $5.00 off your purchase! |

Lily's Gettin' Aggressive |
|
We at Presto Dog have three Shelties-Lyric, Lily and Declan. Lyric's the Mom to Declan and Lily's always been the meek and mild one who was pushed around by the other two...at least until the last few days... |

Dogs & Thunderstorms, Part 2 |
Thunderstorms crashed through our area this afternoon. Usually such an event precipitates (!) our pack going just a wee bit crazy, as they're afraid of these occurrences. ( Click HERE to read about a story about their behaviour in stormy weather.) However, I'm happy to say that they "weathered" the situation very well this time. A few barks, one or two growls and sidelong glances seemed to be the extent of doggie reactions to Mother Nature's rainy interlude.
Could it mean they're effectively "cured" of their skittishness? |
